Name: Jillian Gamboa

Role: Head of Sales & Marketing at HelixPay

Describe your role: As head of sales & marketing, I'm focused on driving growth for the business - finding new leads, closing deals, and launching new clients. I also help oversee the sales performance of HelixPay clients to make sure everything is optimized for success.

Favorite part of your job: It doesn't feel like a job! I get to work with talented people and people I used to watch and only hear about before. It's always been a dream of mine to support local communities and businesses that aim to promote creativity. And with the work that we're doing at HelixPay, it's very much aligned with my passion.

Best event you ever went to and why?
The best one I ever went to is Sigur Ròs' concert in Singapore last August 2022. It was my first time to travel overseas just to watch a concert, and Sigur Ròs is one of the artists I grew up listening to. The whole experience was also seamless and the production quality was top-notch.

Any upcoming events you're excited for and why?
I always look forward to attending any HelixPay-powered events. We have two upcoming events in May that I'm particularly excited about - BusinessWorld's Economic Forum on Digital Transformation and UNKNWN MNL's third event this year.

I also enjoy attending music festivals, so I'm excited to attend Summer Sonic Tokyo in August to see some of my favorite artists. Attending events, especially big music festivals abroad, gives me more insight into how we can improve our ticketing technology in the Philippines.

Name a favorite movie or song you're liking recently
It's not a movie, but I recently binge-watched Beef on Netflix. Not a big fan of watching series but its soundtrack caught my attention. After watching the whole series, the soundtrack was just one of the many things I liked about the show.
