Name: Butz Tenchavez

Role: Co-founder/Managing Partner of Gran Hacienda Wines

Describe your role: My responsibilities include being a buyer, story teller, marketer, community builder, especially through our wine-focused events. These roles allow me to make the most out of my advocacies and experiences with wine and culture. I take delight in my job because of these opportunities to be different versions of myself.

Favorite part of your job: What I enjoy the most in my job is the engagement with my clients, especially those who find the intricacy and exquisiteness of winemaking. I also have fun seeing the wine consumed with pleasure and appreciation.

Best event you ever went to and why?
Our first wine dinner in Gran Hacienda Wines was the most memorable event. Since we weren't sure if people would attend, we were wondering if it was going to be successful or not. Fortunately, it was fully booked, and many had a wonderful time with us.

Any upcoming events you're excited for and why?
We have an upcoming event this Saturday, May 6th at Toka Wine to discover a Portuguese variety in Baga. Afternoon wine session is always fun.

Name a favorite movie or song you're liking recently.
Hitch (2005) starring Will Smith :)
