SPOTLIGHT
Each month we will feature an interesting leader of the Filipino events community - from producers to choreographers to venue operators to performers & more. There are so many amazing personalities and creators and we are excited to share these stories!
Name: Karl (Kai) Briguera
Role: CEO and Co-founder of Fillr & Freelance Creative Director
Describe your role: The service that we offer to the market is hyper curated talent marketplace where freelancers and job seekers can use avatars and conduct freelance project using our payment secured blockchain transactions.
Favorite part of your job: My favorite part of the job is helping out the freelance market in the Philippines. As a freelancer myself, I always appreciate when somebody pivots from their day job. Knowing all of the limitations, pros and cons, whatever from their day job and seeing them happy with a client that fits their work life balance more.
Best performance you ever had and why?
As of now, Future Forward Tech Career Fest by NexHire. I really like this event because it’s really well balanced in terms of the number of people who attended. We’ve had a lot of interesting leads. People asking about our platform, advocacies, and I also got to speak which was highlight of course, of my day. I really like how all of the activities are spread out through the day and it doesn’t feel boring. Since most of the other events I have attended in this similar space are either too formal or the flip side of that, it’s too chaotic.
Any upcoming events you're excited for and why?
Of course, upcoming events I would be excited to be part of, just me or even as a CEO of my startup is anything related to tech. So, I really love the tech space here in the Philippines, the startup space. I would love to see more intimate events like this in our industry.
