Name: Aaron James Chua

Role: Sales Consultant of Hyundai Forklift Philippines and Exhibitor of Philippine Business-to-Business Trade Shows

Describe your role: My job as a sales consultant is to promote Hyundai Forklift and assist customers who have questions about our goods, whether they are pre-sales or after-sales. Giving them contacts to the proper people in the firm and acquiring their contacts is one way to help them. In addition, my role adds to Hyundai Forklift Philippines' participation in trade shows because I will be advising the majority of the personnel on how to promote our products in exhibits, whether they are from the after sales, sales or marketing departments. This also helps the bulk of our employees enhance their confidence and speaking skills when speaking with clients.

Favorite part of your job: The greatest aspect of my job as a sales consultant is that I get to promote the firm and assist each department. Basically, I'm all over the place; I don't just focus on one area, but on the entire organization. In terms of carrying out my responsibilities as a sales consultant, I always return calls as soon as possible and keep myself informed of any developments in the firm.

Observing the best of the best products that we have and monitoring how they contribute well to our portfolio are my favorite activities as well. In fact, I feel blessed to see the Philippine arrival of Hyundai's biggest forklift in Asia, which was made possible by our company and our partners last September 22. This prized forklift was received by Fast Cargo Logistics at Navotas Container Yard led by Mr. Michael Racho (Freight Manager) and Mr. Chris Elliot (Transport Manager). Hyundai developed the 30-ton class (rated load) forklift in response to the growing demand for ultra-large forklifts in the domestic market, which are mainly used to transport heavy loads in warehouses that handle large materials. I am delighted to say that it is the most ideal for businesses that transport large or heavy quantities among ports, steel mills and shipyards.

Best performance you ever had and why?
The best trade show I've attended was probably the Transport and Logistics Show 2023 because it was large, especially after the pandemic, so it was exciting that Hyundai Forklift Philippines was able to participate again after so many years, and new businesses were also involved in this show, making it more diverse and interesting in a way that we can see our market grow.

Any upcoming events you're excited for and why?
In 2024, we may participate again in the Transport and Logistics Show 2024 since it is one of our main exhibitions. We are focused on promoting our 30-ton Forex 300D-9 model in our next events and projects as well. We are proud of this because it is equipped with an eco-friendly engine that meets Tier-4 Final, the highest level of emissions regulations. Apart from this, we are happy to share that its engine is equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction, which significantly reduces emissions of nitrogen oxide from the exhaust. It is also an honor to share that its high engine power of 278 horsepower provides excellent driving performance and climbing ability.

Name a favorite movie or song you're liking recently.
My favorite movie is "The Pursuit of Happiness" because the theme is to think you can do anything and have a goal, keep to it, and follow it through, which is something I need when it comes to expanding the firm to stick to my goals and better the ways to achieve that goal.

BIG BRAIN MOMENT

Interesting facts & trivia from the Philippines culture & events community

Trivia Question

Answer: Paraluman. She was born Sigrid Sophia Agatha von Giese on December 14, 1923. She was a FAMAS-award-winning Filipino actress active from the 1940s to the 1970s. She was a contemporary of the likes of Fernando Poe, Sr., and Marlene Daudén and was a major contract star of Sampaguita Pictures.

Interesting Culture Fact!

If you happen to speak Spanish, you’re in luck! But interestingly, not all the words mean the same thing but are an approximation. Take "Maldito,” for example; it means “naughty” in the Philippines, but be careful when calling a child Maldito in Latin America, where it means “cursed”!
