 SPOTLIGHT

Each week we will feature an interesting leader of the Filipino events community - from producers to choreographers to venue operators to performers & more. There are so many amazing personalities and creators and we are excited to share these stories!

Name: Trixie Magsino

Role: Chief Operating Officer

Describe your role: I am mainly responsible for the overall management of the business and staging the logistic and production of itself. My business partners like to call me the glue that keeps the business together. That is a lot of pressure, but I willingly do the work because I genuinely enjoy it.

Favorite part of your job: I would have to say that what gives me the most joy in my job, is the thought of being able to help our Filipino athletes, and give them a livable career. I see the hard work they put into their craft, and I want them to be able to show that to more people. I also love that my teammates can be as creative and as free as they want when it comes to accomplishing tasks, it brings me joy to know that even internally, our team is a solid and cohesive unit.

Best event you ever went to and why?
I would say that it was a very recent concert of Boys like girls, that my boyfriend and I went to. I used to listen to the band when I was very young, and when I heard they would hold a concert, I didn't hesitate and just bought tickets.

Any upcoming events you're excited for and why?
I am very very excited for OUR event. TNT KICKBOXING 1: TUNAY NA TIGAS on June 24, 2023. Not only because of the outstanding talent and skill that the fighters will for sure show, but also because this will usher in a new level of sporting event production. My team and I made sure that we bring only the best and showcase the amazing skills of our Filipino Athletes.

What's a valuable tip you have for fellow events community leaders/organizers?
Research! Always always do your research. Be that on the industry, or on your talents. It does not hurt to research so you are prepared.

Name a favorite movie or song you're liking recently.
My favorite movie is a classic. It is Star Wars: A New Hope! I love that they were so creative and they made the most of what they had back then. The bravery to pursue a story and explore a genre, that back then was not yet explored, and to be able to produce a story with so much heart, is what always keeps me coming back.
